Before
Booking & Online Consultation
After your appointment is confirmed, our team will contact you for an online consultation. This allows us to walk you through the process, set clear expectations, and plan your sessions based on your lip condition and duration of your stay. Pre-care instructions will also be shared to help you prepare properly before your visit.
Arrival & Lips Preparation
On the day of your appointment, please arrive without makeup. Face wash and mouthwash will be provided to cleanse before we begin, ensuring proper hygiene and minimizing the risk of infection.
The lips will then be gently exfoliated and moisturized to improve comfort and color retention. This step takes approximately 20 to 40 minutes depending on lip condition. Drinking plenty of water and keeping lips moisturized in the days before your appointment is strongly recommended.
Shaping & Approval
Ms. Nhung will carefully design the lip shape based on your natural lips and overall facial features. As no lips are perfectly symmetrical, the focus is on achieving the most balanced and harmonious result.
The procedure begins only after you approve the shape. Pigment color is selected in consultation with you, taking into account your natural lip and skin tone.
Numbing
A topical anesthetic is applied for approximately 30 minutes to ensure comfort throughout the procedure. Only products that comply with US regulations are used for safety.
The Procedure
The lip permanent makeup process takes approximately 45 to 60 minutes. Precise, controlled techniques are used to ensure a soft, natural finish.
Once completed, Ms. Nhung will perform a final assessment to ensure optimal results. Detailed aftercare instructions will be sent to you via WhatsApp or your preferred communication channel.
Touch-up
For clients staying in Saigon or visiting long-term, a touch-up session will be scheduled around 2 months later to refine the result. For short-term visits, additional pigment will be applied during the initial session to ensure the lips heal beautifully even without a touch-up. Before you commit
Lips permanent makeup is suitable for anyone looking to enhance their natural lip shape, even out asymmetry, or add a soft, lasting color without daily effort. It is ideal for those with pale or uneven lips, thin borders, or anyone who simply wants their lips to look polished at all times. We do not perform the service during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or for clients with active cold sores or herpes outbreaks, active skin conditions around the mouth, a history of keloid scarring, diabetes, or those on blood thinners, Accutane, or undergoing active cancer treatment. If you are prone to cold sores, antiviral medication may be recommended before your appointment. Please discuss this with your doctor.
You are welcome to bring reference photos of the shape and color you like. Ms. Nhung will use these as guidance, together with her expertise, to design a lip shape and select a pigment color that suits your natural lip tone and skin tone. Please note that the final result will not be an exact replica of the reference photo, as pigments behave differently on skin than makeup. If a certain shape is not suitable for your facial features, Ms. Nhung will advise and suggest an alternative that works better. The procedure only begins once you are completely happy with both the shape and color.
If you already have lip filler, wait 2 to 3 months for it to settle before your lip tattoo. If you're doing the lip tattoo first, wait 1 month afterwards before getting filler.
Before the appointment
In the 24 hours before: avoid alcohol, caffeine, and blood-thinning medications (consult your doctor first). On the day: arrive without lipstick or lip liner. Keeping your lips well moisturized in the days leading up to your appointment is strongly recommended.
During the treatment
A topical numbing cream is applied before we begin to minimize discomfort. The lips are more sensitive than brows, so some clients feel a mild tingling or pressure sensation — but the numbing is topped up throughout the session to keep you as comfortable as possible. The vast majority of clients find it very manageable.
It is best to allow 3 to 4 hours for your first appointment. This includes the online consultation, lips preparation, shaping and approval, numbing, and the procedure itself. Please don't plan a tight schedule on appointment day.
After & Healing
Immediately after the procedure, the color will appear more vibrant than the final result, and the lips may feel slightly puffy due to the anesthetic. This is completely normal. After 2 to 3 days, the scabbing will naturally shed and the lips will return to normal. The color is not yet final at this stage. Around 2 months post-procedure, the color fully stabilizes into a soft, even, natural finish.
Follow the aftercare routine provided at your appointment. Keep the lips moisturized as directed and avoid picking or peeling any scabbing.
