Satori Hairstrokes™ is suitable for most people and works particularly well on normal to dry skin types. It is ideal for those who prefer the look of individual hair strokes rather than a soft makeup effect.

For the best results, this technique is recommended for clients with no previous permanent makeup or only very lightly faded old work. If your existing permanent makeup is still quite visible, removal may be recommended beforehand, as old pigment can affect the final outcome.

This procedure is not performed during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or for clients with active skin conditions in the brow area, a history of keloid scarring, uncontrolled diabetes, or those currently undergoing active cancer treatment. If you are taking blood thinners, Accutane, steroids, or any medication that may affect healing, please consult your doctor before booking.

The difference lies in the brow design, not the technique itself. Male brows are designed to be slightly thicker, with a less tapered tail to maintain a more masculine appearance. Female brows are typically more refined and softly tapered to enhance femininity. The process remains the same for all clients.

If your previous work has faded a lot and the skin is healthy, we can work over it. We assess this during your consultation. Please mention your previous PMU when booking so we can advise you properly.

For the best results, please avoid in the 2 weeks before: retinol, AHAs, BHAs, and any active exfoliants near the brow area; tinting, waxing, threading, or lamination. In the 24 hours before: alcohol, caffeine, and blood-thinning medications (consult your doctor first). On the day: come with clean, makeup-free brows. No botox or facial injections in the 4 weeks prior.

Come with your natural brows as they are, no pencil or powder on the day. If you normally fill them in, a photo of your preferred everyday brow shape is helpful to bring along so your artist can understand the look you're going for. Avoid any new skincare actives in the two weeks prior, and stay well-hydrated — healthy, well-moisturised skin holds pigment more evenly.

A topical numbing cream is applied before we begin, so most clients find the experience very manageable. The most common description is a light scratching or pressure sensation. The numbing is topped up throughout the session. Sensitivity varies from person to person, but the vast majority of our clients are surprised by how comfortable it is.

It is best to allow 2 to 3 hours for your appointment to ensure an unrushed experience. This includes the consultation, brow mapping and design, the numbing process, and the Satori Hairstrokes™ treatment itself.

You are welcome to bring reference photos of the shape and colour you like. Ms. Nhung will use these as guidance, together with her expertise, to design a brow shape and colour that suits your natural brow hair and skin tone. Please note that the final result will not be an exact replica of the reference photo, as pigments behave differently on skin than makeup. The procedure only begins once you are completely happy with both the shape and color.

Right after the treatment, your brows will look like you've just applied your favourite brow makeup: defined, full, and beautifully shaped. You can go about your day as normal. By the next day, they may appear slightly larger and a little darker as the scabbing process begins. This is completely expected. Keep the area moisturised with water or non-petroleum vaseline as directed, follow your aftercare instructions, and your brows should be fully healed and settled within 4–5 days.

Follow the aftercare routine we give you at your appointment. The most important step is keeping your brows moisturised with water or non-petroleum vaseline throughout the healing days. Avoid picking, scratching, or rubbing the area, and stay away from heavy sweating, swimming, direct sun on the brows, and any makeup or skincare products directly on the treated area until fully healed.

Touch-up arrangements depend on the duration of your stay in Saigon. If you are staying long-term, a touch-up session will be scheduled at approximately one month after your initial session, once the colour has fully settled. For short-stay visitors, Ms. Nhung will apply additional pigment during the initial session to ensure the brows heal beautifully even without a follow-up. Details will be discussed during your online consultation.

Satori Hairstrokes™ typically lasts 2 to 3 years, depending on your skin type and aftercare. Over time, the colour fades gradually into a lighter, softer version of itself without turning into unwanted shades. If you prefer a very natural look, you may simply allow the brows to fade and refresh them only once the color becomes very light.

Several factors influence longevity: skin type, sun exposure, skincare routine (retinol, AHAs, and exfoliating acids around the brow area accelerate fading), and how well aftercare is followed after each session.
